Own goods in transit
Where the business goods are owned by you or for which you are responsible and you undertake to collect or deliver them in your own vehicle then Northern Marine Underwriters Ltd can offer valuable cover.
The insurance covers the goods against accidental loss or damage whilst in transit in or on any conveyance and includes the risks of loading and unloading. Temporary storage whilst in the course of ordinary transit is also covered. In addition our insurance policy includes the following essential elements:-
- accidental loss or damage to sheets, ropes, tarpaulins etc.,
- debris removal and additional transfer costs
- drivers personal effects
Conditions of insurance are based on all risks but do contain a standard list of exclusions of which the principle exceptions are loss due to warlike activities, riots and civil commotions, consequential loss and loss of market.
Extension to the cover may be possible for the use of additional vehicles and substitute vehicles and the inclusion of tools and tool kits or test equipment.
